Project Overview

Eid-Ul-Adha is a sacred occasion that symbolizes sacrifice, compassion, and generosity. While many families celebrate the festival with joy and abundance, countless vulnerable households struggle to afford nutritious food and participate fully in the spirit of Eid.

In rural communities of Bangladesh, where poverty and economic hardship remain persistent challenges, access to quality protein-rich food is often limited. For many vulnerable families, receiving Qurbani meat during Eid may be the only opportunity in the year to enjoy a nutritious meal with their loved ones.

To share the blessings of this sacred occasion with underprivileged communities, Shoshi Foundation successfully organized the “Eid-Ul-Adha Qurbani Meat Distribution Program – 2026.”

Through this initiative, Qurbani meat was collected, processed, and distributed among poor, vulnerable, and disadvantaged families so they could also experience the joy and dignity of Eid.

Project Objectives

The project was implemented with the following objectives:

  • Distribute Qurbani meat among vulnerable and low-income families during Eid-Ul-Adha.
  • Improve access to nutritious food for underprivileged communities.
  • Share the blessings and joy of Eid with those facing economic hardship.
  • Promote compassion, social responsibility, and community solidarity.

  • Support food security and nutritional well-being among vulnerable households.
  • Foster dignity and inclusion by ensuring that disadvantaged families can participate in Eid celebrations.
  • Strengthen humanitarian engagement through volunteerism and community participation.

Project Beneficiaries

  • Low-income and underprivileged families: Our purpose was to provide nutritious food support to families with limited financial capacity who often struggle to manage proper meals, especially during Eid.
  • Destitute and vulnerable individuals: The program supported individuals facing financial hardship, unemployment, and difficulties in managing basic daily necessities and nutritious meals.

Meat Distribution to Vulnerable Communities

  • Orphaned and disadvantaged children: The initiative provided support to orphaned and disadvantaged children who lack proper family care and access to adequate nutrition.
  • Families facing food insecurity: The project supported families who struggle to manage regular, balanced, and nutritious meals due to financial difficulties.
  • Marginalized communities: The initiative reached socially and economically disadvantaged communities with limited access to food support, resources, and essential services.

Volunteer Service during Qurbani meat distribution

The program aimed to provide nutritious food support to vulnerable communities while promoting the values of sharing, social solidarity, and compassion. Through the active participation of volunteers and community members, the distribution was conducted in an organized and respectful manner, ensuring that assistance reached deserving beneficiaries efficiently and transparently.

Impact of the Project

The impact of the project extended beyond food distribution. Through the project, we were able to-

  • Improved access to nutritious protein-rich food for vulnerable families.
  • Enabled disadvantaged households to celebrate Eid with dignity and joy.
  • Reduced short-term food insecurity among beneficiaries.
  • Strengthened community bonds through collective participation and support.
  • Increased awareness of social responsibility and charitable giving.
  • Brought happiness and emotional support to children, elderly individuals, and struggling families.

For many beneficiaries, the distributed meat represented not only a nutritious meal but also a reminder that they are valued members of the community and not forgotten during important religious occasions.
